Jesus Is Always Moving

This week has been so full of glory! It was our second week of kids camp and it was just as busy as last week. But I was amazed at how much the Lord was present through all of the craziness. We had a really amazing team of leaders (counselors in America) and they were all super hungry to see Jesus work. It really is incredible when a group of people come together hungry to see Jesus move in their lives how He really does show up! This week started off in a sad place for me because I got news from my family that my grandma had just passed away. It was really sudden and I found myself crying...

Faith, Love, and Amazing Grace

On faith: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these he will do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:12-13 I thought that I had learned my lesson on faith during my fundraising and prep to come here. Apparently, though, God didn’t think I’d learned enough about it. This week the Lord continued to show me that I can ask him anything in the name of Jesus and he will do it. I can ask him to help me...

Just Kiddin’ Around

This past week has been more incredible than my words can express to you, but I'll do my best to convey it as best as I can. We had the first week of kids camp, themed "The Amazing Race." There were about 80 kiddos here at El Rancho, and heaps of them got saved! God was working so mightily in their lives and the lives of their leaders, and it was a BEAUTIFUL thing to witness and be a part of. Also, one of the international volunteers who has been here for almost a year gave her heart  to Jesus last night!! We have been praying for and with her ever since we arrived here...

The Love of the Lord is my Strength

One week down, one more to go. This week was our first week of kids camp, which was so much fun and rewarding. The theme for the kids camp was The Amazing Race, and all the kids definitely enjoyed the games that went along with it. I had so much fun teaching my dance class as well. There was about thirteen girls in my class and the ages ranged from 7-12. It was definitely a challenge for me because some of the girls had a mind of their own and would not listen, others were very quiet and would not speak up if they were having a challenge with the dance. Over all though the challenge was...

A week to remember, a week to anticipate

So, since you can read all about our little road trip last week from my teammates blogs, I'm not gonna say much about it. I will say this: it was not at all what we expected it to be. Long story short, we ended up not doing as much street ministry as we'd expected, but we did get to pass out flyers to help raise money towards an orphanage in Nepal. And we talked to a lonely guy in a park and a German girl in a hostel and a Buddhist environmentalist on the streets of Auckland. We went to the most beautiful place I've ever seen (I'll post a photo of where an ocean meets a sea)...

Get The Flock Out Of Here

Kia Ora mate! These past few weeks have been so sweet and full of different things going on. My team and I just got back from a five day journey/tour through the North island of NZ. I will just tell you that it is so stinkin gorgeous, especially the very tip top place which is called Cape Reinga. Most beautiful, breath-taking place I have ever seen, no joke. We were stopped in a New Zealand road block a.k.a. heaps of cows in the middle of the road, and decided to climb out of our sunroof in nothing other than a minivan to take pictures of the mooing herd. The men who were moving the cows to...
