As most of you probably know by now, we spent the last week or so in ChristChurch (on the south island) helping with earthquake damage.  We shoveled wheelbarrows upon wheeelbarrows full of liquefaction in the cold AND wet. I'll be honest, not exactly my idea of fun. But we didn't go there for a vacation. Although shoveling dirt for a week was hard work, the hardest part for me wasn't physical labor. Hey Guys! Ok soooo I’m still getting the hang of this whole blog situation but I’m gonna try. So here goes… and sorry this is a week late. Long story short: We all met at Chattanooga Airport (3 terminals.. maybe, Insanely small) on Friday where we were then bussed to an unknown location. When we arrived (at a camp) we got into our teams (by country) and were told to take only 3 things from our luggage and meet back. When I flew into Chattanooga, TN, I did not expect to meet my new family. From day one it seemed like I always knew these people that I was about to spend two months with in a totally different country. I now have 3 more brothers and 8 sisters that God has brought into my life. The first night we spent on a tarp and had to pick only three things each for this event. That moment we became a team, and then became a family that night, freezing.   My mind is blown. All expectations have already been surpassed, and I am still in North America.
