Lately…

As most of you probably know by now, we spent the last week or so in ChristChurch (on the south island) helping with earthquake damage.  We shoveled wheelbarrows upon wheeelbarrows full of liquefaction in the cold AND wet. I'll be honest, not exactly my idea of fun. But we didn't go there for a vacation. Although shoveling dirt for a week was hard work, the hardest part for me wasn't physical labor. You see, the liquefaction lifts up under houses and in between cement causing houses to lean. It ruins foundations completely. The last day we were there, the Prime...

team is safe

Hello parents and friends of team New Zealand, We just wanted to let you know that we've talked to the team leaders today and the team is all safe and sound and doing well in New Zealand.  Some of you may have heard of some earthquakes in New Zealand, however they were several hours from where the team is located.  We just wanted to keep you posted that the area they're in was not affected.   Blessings, Real Life Field Support Team

1 PETER 2:9

Hey Guys! Ok soooo I’m still getting the hang of this whole blog situation but I’m gonna try. So here goes… and sorry this is a week late. Long story short: We all met at Chattanooga Airport (3 terminals.. maybe, Insanely small) on Friday where we were then bussed to an unknown location. When we arrived (at a camp) we got into our teams (by country) and were told to take only 3 things from our luggage and meet back. We were given two tarps and some rope along with a small amount of taco salad for dinner.  We had to make do for the night, and it was COLD! Needless to...

Friends to Family

When I flew into Chattanooga, TN, I did not expect to meet my new family. From day one it seemed like I always knew these people that I was about to spend two months with in a totally different country. I now have 3 more brothers and 8 sisters that God has brought into my life. The first night we spent on a tarp and had to pick only three things each for this event. That moment we became a team, and then became a family that night, freezing. Everyone that is going to different countries, including us, had to sleep on the tarp, practice missionary work, seek Gods voice, and paint a canvas...

Laughter, Tears, and No More Fears

My mind is blown. All expectations have already been surpassed, and I am still in North America. Insane.  From the moment we all met, we were the awkward group that all had something different about us, sitting in a circle barely communicating, and just being—well—awkward, and 3 days later, we are the awkward group who can’t stop laughing at/with each other. Day 1: We started off in unity, and truly having each other’s backs and best interest in mind for our first night spent together. We all had three items to choose, and instead of bringing our own...

Safe in New Zealand!

We just spoke with the team leader and they’ve all arrived safely in New Zealand.  They are in route to their ministry site and will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! Real Life field support team
