The Adventure Before The Mission

The past 4 days at training camp have been crazy. We've been trained to be missionaries, by missionaries. We've heard from people who've been overseas dozens of times and are speaking from experience as they encourage and advise us, the rookies.
We've talked with God, heard from God, given praise and glory to God.
We've made instant friends because we're supposed to, but it was easy and could've happened anyway, and I know that soon these friends are going to become family.
We've already seen God at work and we haven't even left the country yet. Chains broken, fears banished, doubts dispelled.
200+ people absolutely on fire for God and for God's glory to be known across the whole world. In fact, out of everything I have seen and heard and felt and done this weekend, the thing that's stood out to the me the most is actually kind of simple… kind of obvious. I just think that it is so cool to see so many Christians – young Christians my age, on fire for God – in one place! I've been to church conferences and gatherings bigger than this one but always from the same denomination or the family of churches I come from. This, just because of the fact that everyone here is from all over and from totally different backgrounds and denominations, just seems different to me, and I love it. I think the common bond we have here – that we really are all one big family in Christ no matter where we are from – is drawing us together. And that's a pretty good feeling to have when you're about to go out into the world.
