So as you all may know, team America just got back from our excursion in South Island. As you also may know, God did work! We were faced with so many opportunities to share God's love and Truth. We even came across many miracles. One that stuck out to me was the time we had a healing for a guy who just had ankle surgery. We also went to the mall in Christchurch. There, we played a treasure hunting game where the Lord gave us clues for people to pray for. For me, I got the description of a man who was all dressed in black and had long hair. For what seemed like forever, I finally came across a fellow who wore a black suit and had long black hair. And when I mean long, I mean his hair came to his butt. SO obviously God was definitely telling me to pray for the guy. I went up to him and told him about the treasure hunting game. He seemed okay with me randomly approaching him and asking to pray for him. Apparently he and his wife are having some marital issues. It was cool to see God meet the man’s need by just allowing me to love on the guy. Besides the crazy miracles, God has shown me what it’s going to look like when I come back home. Because I’m moving out for the first time after this trip, I feel that there is a new chapter in my life that is about to be written. For one thing, I can’t wait to be more intentional on how I live a Christ worthy lifestyle. Yesterday, I heard a pastor speak on Matthew 22 which talked about the two greatest commandments: Love God and love others. That verse has never hit me in such a butt-kicking way before. But if we really want to see heaven come down to earth, then we need to be intentional on how we approach and love people. And besides, a heap of faith goes a long way when it comes to things like that. Even in where my future is heading. I don’t know whether I’ll be finishing my anthropology degree or coming back to NZ for good, or even preaching the Gospel in the remote jungles. All I know is that my Papa has got my back and He is good.
