This week has been busy and awesome. We spent a few days painting rooms inside of St. Luke's church in Waikanae, from a hideous Salmon color to off-white. One of the days however, I stayed back at El Rancho to work on a map for the disc golf course at the camp! When the staff found out that I am a cartographer they asked me if I would be willing to make a map for it. I was soooooo stoked! It is looking pretty good and the staff are pleased. It is so awesome to be using my academic skills to serve the Lord!
We have also been helping out at youth groups. There are two main ones that we have been attending and building relationships with the students that attend them. This past Sunday night we led a youth group and I helped lead worship and gave the message. It is so awesome to be pouring into the students and be an example to them.
Last night we helped out at what is called an Op Shop Ball. An Op Shop is a thrift store, and everyone is supposed to wear something crazy that they bought at an Op Shop. So well all got some crazy clothes at a shop in Paraparaumu. It was such a fun night! We started some giant conga lines and dance circles with the youth, and also swarmed some targeted people and danced crazy around them like they do in "Dumb and Dumber." Classic.
I am really growing a lot in my relationship with God, and so fulfilled in encouraging others in their walk.
Thanks for your continued prayers and support!
