Kiwi is the New Apple

I am really enjoying my time in New Zealand so far—it is such a beautiful country! We have done quite a bit, including exploring the area and learning cultural differences, as well as beginning our work in the different ministries here. We have been experiencing some food in new ways, including eating the ENTIRE kiwi like an apple, skin and all, it’s delicious and I never have to peel one again—you MUST go buy a kiwi now and try it. We have also had cooked pumpkin (really yummy), pancakes with vanilla ice cream on top, and of course, fish 'n chips. We went to a church...

It’s Okay To Be Wicked Jealous

I NEVER WANT TO LEAVE THIS PLACE! From the second I looked out the plane window and saw New Zealand from 30,000 feet in the air, I was in love…seriously. I have never seen a more beautiful, breath-taking, green, exotic, splendid place in my life. God was in the best possible mood when He spoke New Zealand into being because it is absolutely gorgeous. It exceeds any expectations that I could have had coming into this trip big time. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team

Well. The Lord has done so much since the beginning of training camp. For one thing, I did not realize that having a team with six girls and me as the only guy was going to be challenging. I didn’t think that I’d be insecure about me filling in the manly role of the group, but in the end, I was terrified. By the third day of training the Lord broke those chains of fear and now I love my group. The Lord has even increased our group’s passion for New Zealand. Beyond the prophetic readings I’ve seen in scripture, the excitement from my team has increased a yearning for...

The Adventure Before The Mission

The past 4 days at training camp have been crazy. We've been trained to be missionaries, by missionaries. We've heard from people who've been overseas dozens of times and are speaking from experience as they encourage and advise us, the rookies.  We've talked with God, heard from God, given praise and glory to God. We've made instant friends because we're supposed to, but it was easy and could've happened anyway, and I know that soon these friends are going to become family. We've already seen God at work and we haven't even left the country yet....
