A week to remember, a week to anticipate

So, since you can read all about our little road trip last week from my teammates blogs, I'm not gonna say much about it. I will say this: it was not at all what we expected it to be. Long story short, we ended up not doing as much street ministry as we'd expected, but we did get to pass out flyers to help raise money towards an orphanage in Nepal. And we talked to a lonely guy in a park and a German girl in a hostel and a Buddhist environmentalist on the streets of Auckland. We went to the most beautiful place I've ever seen (I'll post a photo of where an ocean meets a sea) and saw a lot of other absolutely breathtaking sights and some of us even bungy jumped! I'll post a few photos of some of the gorgeous places we went!

Anyway, by the time we got home we weren't sure how we were feeling about the craziness and spontaneousness of the week. Looking back at it now, I know God was in it in more ways than I could see. I know he used the week to both stretch us and strengthen us as a team and I'm excited to find out what else he will teach me through the trip.

When we got home we dove straight into preparations for kids' camps this week! The theme is The Amazing Race and our team is leading games/teaching sessions and helping the staff with everything from kitchen duty to archery and horse rides! This weekend has been leader training with all the volunteer cabin leaders and we are getting super pumped for the kids to arrive tomorrow night and meet Jesus! Please be praying that the 80 kids (aged 7-12) will learn so much about the love of Jesus Christ this week and that children will be saved!

Alright, here's some pictures to give y'all a shadow of a glimpse of our trip.

oh, yeah, and some of us bungy jumped from 142 feet.

We've limited ourselves to internet once a week, just fyi. So I'll be back next Sunday, in the mean time, love y'all!
