Hey Guys! Ok soooo I’m still getting the hang of this whole blog situation but I’m gonna try. So here goes… and sorry this is a week late.
Long story short: We all met at Chattanooga Airport (3 terminals.. maybe, Insanely small) on Friday where we were then bussed to an unknown location. When we arrived (at a camp) we got into our teams (by country) and were told to take only 3 things from our luggage and meet back. We were given two tarps and some rope along with a small amount of taco salad for dinner. We had to make do for the night, and it was COLD! Needless to say we became very close, in every sense of the word. All joking aside, that night was essential to the unity of our team. I can honestly say that God gave me better teammates and leaders than I could have ever asked for. Every one of them is strong in the Lord and we all push each other to become better. It’s truly been an amazing experience. Together we’ve endured scorching heat, drenching humidity, ice cold showers, very little sleep… and immense Joy. Worshiping the Lord here has been an experience like no other. God really moved in training camp and is continuing to move. We met 3 employees at the camp in Chattanooga who were super cool, (shout out to Peter, Nigel and Austin. ) and the employees at the camp here are GREAT too! The kiwi accent is really thick so we often have to ask them to slow down. But the Lord has blessed with a wonderful place to live with great food and people who are so happy to have us. We came to serve them but they keep saying they’re here to serve us. What a great picture of esteeming other better than yourselves. Ok off to church, More to come… –Hannah <3Team New Zealand<3
